Failure or success?

My experiment that has turned into OUR experiment is temporary over. I kind of failed the swopping part of the project, but I feel I gained so much other fantastic stuff. I have high hopes for our world… I’m flattered, proud, happy, sad, overwhelmed and about to cry out loud… It’s over. It’s over for now. Thanks to all of you, friends and strangers who have followed my adventurous journey! You’re millions! And that’s insane... I’m just a simple swopper…

Swopping stuff instead of just buying new gadgets all the time is a great thing that I think has great potential. More than a great way of saving our planet it’s an awesome way to communicate. It’s so cool to go down to your Posten and send something, and pick up something completely different the other day. Build in the swop (your new thing) is a story and history; it makes you fell good because there is also a future.

Talking about the future: I will be back, but now I’m going to take some time off this project. I don’t know yet if it’s terminated or not. I might be to sore a looser to back of now. We’ll see.

FAQ

Q: How do we swop?

A: Good questions. The way I see it, we have two options:

1) We’ll meet eye-for-an-eye-style. I not into going places at the moment (I’m pretty busy doing this). But you’re most welcome over to my crib (that still can be yours). Maybe we can hang out and you can help me pack things.

2) We don’t meet. I send you my swop offer, and you send me yours. It’s easier than cooking pancakes!!! Just roll down to your local post office or franchisee, mine is at “ICA” (Swedish grocery store) and hand in your swop. Works smooth as silk… They help you out with all the details too. But if you wanna be a wiseguy, check out prices and maximum weight stuff here. And don't miss the important dates here! Thank you for swopping!

A: My name is Stefan. I'm a healthy 28-year-old boy livin' la vida loca in Stockholm, Sweden as a performance artist.

Q: Why swop everything you own?
A: Funny, I knew that question would come. Well, I woke up sick and tired of it all one day and decided to do something about it. And of course, it’s an interesting experiment and a good way to get rid of boring stuff/get cool new stuff.

Q: Why not just throw boring things away and buy new cool stuff?
A: I don’t work that way, neither does my wallet or the environment! And what’s the point of doing something everybody does? The interesting part of this project is to see what I can get for everything I already got.

A: Nothing really, I like the idea of strangers sending me strange things that I would never ever come up with myself.

Passade på att fylla 28 i år! Känns mkt bra måste jag säga, utan att reflektera speciellt mkt över åldern så passerade jag knappt märkbart strecket för Karlsson & Co.
27an firades knappt och fick endast en handfull grattis, detta året var raka motsatsen.
Min flicka överaskade mig duktigt med en lyxig pic-nic i metropolens mitt. "Mot Humlan älskling!" Tapas & vin plus massa kärlek och uppassning... Vilken dröm!
Kvällen spenderades hemma hos, med pilsner och öl... Skratt och glada tillrop, grattis, gifts och sång! Mottsats yes!

Idag sörjer hela modevärlden. Designern Yves Saint Laurent har efter en längre tids sjukdom avlidit i sitt hem i Paris. Han blev 71 år.

Förutom min stora kärlek i livet måste jag erkänna att jag även har flera småförälskelser av olika slag...alltifrån surf, eyewear, sneakers, och armbandsur till inredning, design, och mode...
En favorit i modevärlden bland många andra, är Marc Jacobs, i höstkollektionen 2007 fanns bland annat dessa puppies. Jag är helt SÅLD! Dessa står högt på listan, ska kriga för detta smuggelgods som ska över gränsen till Sverige efter nästa resa över Atlanten...längtar sjukt mycket!!!

L.A.Z.Y

Är fruktansvärt lat vad gäller bloggandet, även om jag är övertygad om att det inte är fler än en handfull läsare där ute som tar en glimt eller slösurfar förbi denna url.
Men när min soulmate och tillika fru skriver så att fingrarna blöder får jag lite dåligt samvete ändå. Samtidigt som det tar emot en aning, har inte alls samma förmåga att uttrycka mig verbalt. Fick idag bl.a annat höra ett urklipp av en uppsats som fröken ska lämna in, i form av ett tal som skulle läsas upp under Nobel-middagen. Ämnet Angelika valt att hålla sig till är högaktuella växthuseffekten, något som tilltalar alla och är lite "trendigt"(misstolka mig rätt här...).
Hade inget att säga eller opponera mig mot då hon läst det för mig, jag var otroligt imponerad och samtidigt lite sotis; varför kan jag inte uttrycka mig så???
